Brodies Invitational to support Elena Baltacha Foundation

Brodies LLP will be raising funds for the Elena Baltacha Foundation at the Brodies Invitational.

Tennis fans will be asked to give generously to the charity, which gives children from all backgrounds the opportunity to learn to play tennis. The money raised for the foundation will help run the Elena Baltacha Academy of Tennis, which aims not only to develop future tennis stars, but to build confidence and life skills through sport. Great emphasis is placed on developing self-confidence, self-discipline and life skills and those attending the Academy can develop these skills, along with their tennis, in a warm, nurturing and, above all, fun environment.
Managing Partner of Brodies LLP, Bill Drummond, said:
“Brodies is passionate about encouraging young people to develop their sporting talents. Thanks to the support of Gleneagles, Tennis Scotland and Judy Murray, we have a unique opportunity to bring together legends of the game, local schoolchildren and Scottish Juniors, and raise money for the Elena Baltacha Foundation, which gives young people in some of the most deprived communities the opportunity to play tennis.”
A Patron of the Foundation, and Brodies Invitational ambassador, Judy Murray said:
“It’s great that we’ll be raising money for the Elena Baltacha Foundation. As a patron, I know just how much the Elena Baltacha Academy of Tennis is doing to remove the barriers that stop young children playing the game. The money raised at the Brodies Invitational will help them continue their work in some of our most deprived communities.”
